cattery one in a million - Flint
Male cat 13-12-2018 Black silver tabby spotted Father One in a Million Rare Bright Topaz Mother One in a Million It Just Started with a Whisper Flint was castrated for health reasons at the age of 4 weeks and had surgery on his urinary tract. Since then he has been living as a "kitten". Due to serious blockages by crystals / stones, he had a penis amputation in which a completely new "opening" was created. Flint has since been operated on several times and treated intensively. The opening that was created has grown closed again a number of times, making new surgery necessary. Flint is now 13 weeks old (14-3-2019). Given the circumstances, he is doing well, of course we will continue to keep a close eye on him now and in the future. As long as he is growing, there is a possibility that it will grow closed again. We are grateful to our vet for daring to take on the challenge regarding the operation. Normally we would have had to put Flint to sleep when he was 4 weeks old. Such an operation is already a challenge on an adult animal, let alone on a kitten of only 400 grams. The chance of success was incredibly small, but we had nothing to lose / no more choices and are super happy with the result. Flint also owes his pedigree name Flintstone to them. At the practice, Flint was affectionately called Flintstone. Because of the long road we have walked, the tears that have flowed, the worries we have had and the great bond that has been created, Flint will continue to live with us as a spoiled house Bengal. It is now July 2019 and fortunately Flint is doing super well! Flint is growing like a weed and has not had any unpleasant procedures to date. Finally, since he was about 4 months old, we have really been enjoying him.
13-12-2019 Flint's birthday is today! 🥳️🥳️🎉 Who would have thought in January that he would grow into the huge teddy bear that he is now. What a miracle, what a strong cat, what a tough guy. Thanks to the efforts of our vet, Flint has now turned 1 year old and is doing very well. We enjoy him and are still very grateful and happy that he was given the chance. Everyone hoped with us but no one really expected that it would work out. Yet he has proven the opposite. Thank you to everyone who followed Flint's adventure with us. And a huge thank you to the vets who were (and are) there for us day and night, during the week and in the weekend. Flint(stone), brought into the world by Dennis, operated on by Anne & Dennis, various procedures by Anne, Dennis, Tiny & Bram assisted by the assistants (and everyone I may forget) 😘💟

Unlucky Flint with 3 legs... January 2023 I found Flint in the cat run. He was hanging upside down with his leg stuck in a piece of fabric from a hanging basket. He had gotten stuck and started spinning around, which cut off the blood circulation. Quickly released and immediately taken to the vet where everything was taken care of in the hope that we could save his leg. Unfortunately, after about a week we still had to decide to amputate his leg. 2025Flint is doing great, is a happy tomcat, always satisfied and a huge cuddly bear. Flint plays nicely in the kitten room and helps with raising kittens when there are kittens.
