The Litter Box When raising kittens, use litter boxes of different sizes. With and without hatch, with and without hood. This so that the kittens are both used to it. We do have a preference for a litter box. A litter box that is spacious for the cat itself, is sturdy and easy to use due to the opening lid for scooping. This cat-it jumbo litter box meets our requirements and the cats make full use of it. cat-it jumbo litter box
Peewee In addition to the regular litter boxes, we use peewee litter boxes. This should be used with wooden litter box granules. (See cat litter) These litter boxes have a grid where the pulverized cat litter with the cat's urine falls through the grid. Only the faeces are scooped out and the bottom tray is emptied when necessary. We ourselves have 15 peewee litter boxes. Due to the number of cats, we also have a lot of cat litter and waste per month. The wood pellets are allowed in the organic waste bin. As a result, we do not exceed the maximum weight that you can deliver as waste. The wood grains are also lighter so it is kinder to the back.
Cat Litter We use the clump-forming filling "golden grey" as cat litter. We are very satisfied with this filling. It clumps very well, lasts a long time and has a baby powder scent. Golden Gray cat litter
Litter Lifter The Litter Lifter is highly recommended as a cat litter scoop when fine cat litter is used.
We use wood pellets in our peewee litter boxes. These wood pellets can be found from different brands. However, we use ordinary pellet pellets for the wood stove. (TIP!) These work great and are many times cheaper than the special peewee granules for the litter box. These granules are completely safe to use. Baskets Cats like to lie in a nice warm soft basket. These baskets are a success here!
Scratching posts When you take a Bengal into your home, it is important to invest in a nice sturdy scratching post with preferably thick posts. A scratching post whose baskets can be washed is recommended. This is for hygiene, an accident happened quickly and it is a shame to have a nice scratching post. Put the baskets in the washing machine and your crab is completely fresh / new again. We enjoy using the scratching posts of the natural paradise series from Zooplus. The scratching posts are slightly more expensive to purchase because of the thick posts and washable baskets, but this pays for itself in the end when you see how much fun the cat has with them and how long they last.
In addition to a beautiful scratching post, they also love having something made of cardboard to scratch on. Scratching cardboard is well used by the cats. Many of the items below are available in multiple colors.
Toys Bengals love to play. Together or alone. Of course they need suitable toys for this. We regularly renew toys to vary and to keep the cats entertained.
Yeowww catnip toys Unfortunately not available through Zooplus, but the Yeowww toys are available in other web stores. This toy is completely loaded with strong catnip. The cats absolutely love this and can play with it for hours. Highly recommended that a cat continues to play with, even after a longer period of time.
